Secondary SchoolSecondary co-operative education is a planned learning experience under the supervision of a co-op teacher where students explore future career pathways and experience the realities of the workplace. Students are from all seven secondary schools in Guelph. Businesses have an opportunity to influence and train their future workforce. Specialist High Skills Majors allow program students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements of the OSSD. The sectors students are focussing on are:
For more information visit The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) is a secondary school Co-operative Education option for students interested in pursuing a career in the Skilled Trades. OYAP provides students with an opportunity to earn credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma while acquiring skills and knowledge in their chosen trade.
